Suitable for both corporate and private clients, Creative Events provides Customised Event Planning & Management built on a one-to-one consultative client approach. Alternatively, if you’ve already done planning and know what you need, you can simply choose the Do-It-Yourself option. We will provide you with a large variety of hired equipment as well as sub-hire if you are after an item that we do not stock.

Case Study 1 – Channel [V] at Sydney’s Premier Music Festival Homebake:

Client Needs: At short notice, client were to host the VIP Ladies Lounge for selected VIP Guests at one of Sydney’s largest attended music events. Onsite logistics and food & beverage catering were required for both about 400 VIP Guests and film crew over allocated times over the duration of the event 
Location: The Domain, Sydney Botanic Gardens 
Cocktail King Solution: CEM created the perfect English High-Tea Style for the ladies lounge with service provided by professional bar staff and an elite event caterer. Setting was appropriately styled and casually dressed with outdoor furnishings and English boxed trees provided the perfect barricade for onlookers! 
Result: VIP Guests and film crew were equally delighted with the event praising it as a perfect combination of food, music, ambience and styling. Of course, interviews with celebrity musicians also drew the highlight!

Case Study 2 – ANZ Corporate Banking Christmas Luncheon Party:

Client Needs: Client was required to hold a casual Christmas Luncheon Party for 100 staff and wanted assistance with general set-up & catering in an outdoor area of the Sydney Botanic Gardens 
Location: The Lion Gate Lodge, Sydney Botanic Gardens 
Cocktail King Solution: Cocktail King provided set-up of marquee, chairs and tables and table linen quickly and efficiently and CEM assisted with Christmas table ornaments and arrangement of beverage catering. 
Result: The client was very pleased with luncheon success and praised CEM as one of the few events companies that worked towards their defined budget.

Case Study 3 – Private 40th Birthday Party – Hawaiian Theme:

Client Needs: Client wanted to achieve a fun and memorable 40th Birthday bash with the right balance of entertainment and atmosphere for 100 guests 
Location: Randwick, Sydney 
Cocktail King Solution: Besides booz and food, CEM created the other most crucial element to any party – the music and entertainment of course! Thus, lights were cleverly installed with accompanying music and surround sound system, including a digital karaoke video jukebox system. Wood flooring was installed under a marquee to allow guest to dance the night away! 
Result: For the ladies sipping away on their blue Hawaiian cocktails and men chilling out over beers, the party ran without a hitch.

Case Study 4 – Private 50th Birthday Party – 70’s Theme:

Client Needs: Client wanted to hold a fun private party in her private residence for 60 guests within limited use of her backyard space 
Location: Penshurst, Sydney 
Cocktail King Solution: Through consultation with a Creative Events Management Event Planner, the party was suitably themed in retro 70’s theme styling with cut-out props, lava lamps, disco mirrored balls etc… 3 smaller size marquees were erected over what was originally challenging configuration due to various tall and bushy trees. A sound triggered smoke machine, disco lights and an amplified surround sound system gave way to groovy Saturday Night Fever music, which entertained party guests. Torch flames provided a warm entrance to the party atmosphere as did blue Hawaiian cocktail drinks on arrival. 
Result: Both host and guests were delighted with the overall party atmosphere created by the various props and party items and particularly with the professionalism of the bar & wait staff and food & beverages supplied by one of Sydney’s gourmet caterers.


Do-It-Yourself Parties and Events Planning

Over the years we have worked with hundreds of private and corporate clients who require our assistance in hiring equipment needed to make their parties and events a success. Generally, we cover the hiring needs of a variety of party equipment such as; cocktail machines, chocolate fountains, marquees, sound systems, lights, games and lots more. If you need something that we normally don’t stock, we will do our best to sub-hire it for you. We cater for both indoors and outdoors events. For corporate, this had ranged from Promotional Launches, Awards Ceremonies, Fundraising Dinners all the way to Staff Monthly Drinks. For private parties we do Birthdays of all ages, Engagement Parties, Weddings and lots more. Some examples include:

DIY 1 – Leading Building & Construction Company

Client Needs: Client wanted to organise an after-hours BBQ Party to raise money for the Leukemia Foundation as part of the “Great Shave” campaign. 
Location: Public park by the waterfront in Pyrmont, Sydney. 
Cocktail King Solution: Cocktail King worked closely with the EA and event coordinator to arrange for the hire of a 6m x 9m marquee and a 6m x 12m marquee with back and side walls. A complete light package for outdoors lit the party area with chairs and tables. Our wireless PA sound system with iPOD connection was used by the party MC as well as music played from the client iPOD. 
Result: A very practical no-fuss solution that perfectly fitted in with their casual outdoor requirements.

DIY 2 – Major Brand Fundraising Dinner

Client Needs: Client organised a black-tie sit down themed dinner and wanted to offer a unique dessert to the 600 guests following dinner. 
Location: The “Big Top” at the Sydney Luna Park grounds. 
Cocktail King Solution: Cocktail King provided 2 x large chocolate fountain packages fully catered with unlimited cascading milk Belgium chocolate, skewers, napkins and a variety of dipping food. Three professional wait staff operated the machines, refilled the dipping food and served the guest. 
Result: The fountains were extremely popular soon after the dinner ended and effectively served hundreds of people within the first hour following the dinner. During the following two hours after that, many guest kept coming back for more dipped strawberries, bananas and marshmallows. The dessert was a huge success exceeding client expectations.

DIY 3 – Private Wedding

Client Needs: Client wanted to hold an intimate wedding in a unique outdoor venue with open harbour view. Location: Shark Island, Sydney Harbour. 
Cocktail King Solution: Client spent a few hours consulting with Cocktail King party specialist regarding the possible setup. Being a heritage ground, the council has very strict requirements regarding the use of Shark Island for private events. Cocktail King, having installed in the Island before, provided a flawless execution of the logistical plan including the transfer setup and same day pickup of marques, tables, chairs, red carpet as well as assisted in the transportation of other party items to the Island and back. 
Result: An unforgettable wedding in a natural environment to a perfect sunset on the magnificent Sydney harbour.

DIY 4 – CNN White House Correspondents

Client Needs: CNN USA needed to broadcast live from Sydney during the APEC Summit week. Live news feeds were to be shot under all weather conditions with Sydney view as the background. 
Location: Sheraton Four Points Hotel, Darling Harbour. 
Cocktail King Solution: Installed two 3mx3m marquees in 2 separate points on the hotel rooftop. This allowed the crew to rotate between the 2 marquees based on the time of day and the sun and lighting requirements. The marquees were also raised to enable the camera and lights tripod to comfortably fit under the roof. 
Result: Dozens of news feeds where successfully shot under the marquees and broadcast around the world despite stormy weather throughout the entire duration of the APEC Summit week.

DIY 5 – Footy Club Award Ceremony

Client Needs: Required last minute shelter for the award ceremony of the local footy club on an August Sunday afternoon. 
Location: Oval ground, St Ives. 
Cocktail King Solution: Within two hours notice CK crew delivered and installed a 6mx15m marquee enabling the award ceremony to continue according to the plan. The marquee was then picked up 3 hours later shortly after the ceremony ended. 
Result: The stormy afternoon didn’t influence the success of the event and all St Ives future footy stars got their trophies.

DIY 6 – Trade Show Promotion – Australia-wide

Client Needs: A national travel company participated in 4 tradeshows across the country and needed to provide an identical customer experience. Location: Convention Centres in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. 
Location: Convention Centres in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. 
Cocktail King Solution: Provided 4 twin-bowl cocktail machine packages with pre-mixed cocktails in 4 states simultaneously. 
Result: The client needed to place one booking and coordinate only with CK head office. All tradeshows were a great success and not a drop of cocktail left.

DIY 7 – Simpson’s Movie World Premiere

Client Needs: Serve yellow slushy to over 3,000 invitees for the Simpson’s movie premiere. 
Location: Fox Studios, Sydney. 
Cocktail King Solution: Provided five twin-bowl slushy machines to enable fast serve of 3,000 guests on their way to watch the Simpson’s movie premiere. The machines were fully branded with the movie logo and served yellow (mango) slushy to match the famous Simpson’s movie theme. The machines were looked after and refilled by CK staff members throughout the event. 
Result: The movie and free slushy were a great success while 3,000 people were served in less then 1 hour.
